My first ever thrifting event!!
VinoKilo held an event in Amsterdam & I was super happy to experience it 🙂
The event was at a building that was in use as a school. But now it’s a cafe/restaurant and an open space for art exhibits.
You had to pay an entrance fee of €2,- and you could stay as long as you would like.
There were different sections with each their vibe.
One part was full of clothing that the staff chose to have their own fixed price.
The other sections had either Hawaiian shirts or winter clothes. You also had the ‘main’ hall. So it was a big hall with more clothes together.
You got denim jackets to swimming trunks to printed sweaters to 70s looking pants.
It was good to have the weighing scale nearby, basically in hand reach, because you can see how many kilos you have in your bag, and then you would do the math.
It was € 20,- per kilo, and If you bought a winter/denim jacket, they
lowered the price to € 15,- So that was nice to do.
GOODIES
I got a few pairs of shorts, and one of them was from the brand Dickies. An oversized Hawaiian shirt and a Mickey Mouse jacket. But eventually, I couldn’t wear the jacket because it was too tight, unfortunately. Altogether I spend approximately € 36,-
I loved going to the event and I will DEFINITELY go to more events.
You will hear about it very soon!!
Happy Thrifting 🙂
